About Alyshia Macaysa
Alyshia is a researcher, writer and community organizer working to dismantle current systems of power to bring justice to queer people of color. She most recently spent her time supporting research focused on policies and practices in the U.S. that produce inequitable life outcomes for people of color. She also organizing to preserve San Francisco’s rich LGBTQ+ history and bring attention to the rapid displacement of queer women of color in the Bay Area. Alyshia received her undergraduate degree in Social Welfare and Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley.
