About Lisa Marie Garver
Lisa Marie Garver is a Berklee College of Music graduate and struggling artist. Coming from a background of poverty in rural Oregon and racial homogenity/whitewashing, Berklee/Boston was a refreshing splash of color, life, knowledge and opportunity for her. Today she uses these experiences to work on her crafts as a musician, writer/poet, and teacher. She has been homeless, unemployed, recovered from addictions, lost her father to drugs, and watched her mom struggle to raise two daughters without a high school diploma. She has a blog of random madness called www.destroythemetaphor.wordpress.com.
